Deck Tent, No Stove, No Frame

If you chose to make your own frame than I strongly advise you to also make a deck. The two common frame styles are the internal rafter frame or the ridge pole frame. The Rafter frame can be constructed of wood, or make a steel frame like I sell. Angle fittings are available. The Ridge Pole frame has a internal ridge pole holding up the ridge line of the tent and side poles, or side railing lifting out the side walls. Permanent Tents are made with extra grommets around the bottom so they can be screwed to a base rather than staked to the ground. If you intent to make a internal frame using 2 X 4 construction, simply screw the base of the tent to the sill plate of the frame. If you make a steel rafter frame, purchase 2 X 4's the length and width of the tent and screw them to the deck. Now stand the frame legs on the 2 X 4's, and screw the tent bottom to it.  The deck should be 3' larger on all sides. This type of anchoring can also be utilized with the ridge pole frame to secure the base of the tent to the deck.

Permanent Tent packages are offered in 12.63 oz. canvas only, and come with a tent fly. The Fly extends over the eves of the tent; its purpose is to shield the tent from harmful ultra violet rays and pollutants such as pollen and sap from trees. The tent fly has a Para-wing design and will give the tent more stability in the wind. The fly will be made with either polyester or canvas.  A Polyester Fly is slicker and allows snow to slide off the tent better. Polyester is also a more stabilized material in ultra sunny climates. Canvas looks better and will let the tent breath more. In wet climates the canvas is probably a better choice. I encourage stove location out the wall in the front right side, but more centrally located is good too. The tent is equipped with stove jack, sod cloth, guy ropes, stakes, and bags. You must also choose between Standard and Deluxe.

Standard has two windows but it has a rear door.

Deluxe has three windows and no rear door. It also has a screen door with a threshold and a floor that will seal off the outer elements really good.
