WALL TENT OPTIONSScreen Doors are cut the full width and height of the tent door. They Velcro or tie to the tent frame and are staked to the ground. A standard screen door has one vertical zipper. A custom screen door has a canvas threshold that zips across the bottom. A sod cloth can be added to the threshold and removed from the outside canvas door. Rear Doors are great for when there's a bear comin' through the front door! Zippered Windows operate from inside the tent and feature vinyl Texteleen screening, not some wimpy polyester netting found in a backpacker's tent. The zippered window flap is cut and sewn into the tent panel eliminating any possibility of leakage at the bottom of the window flap. On the outside the screen is trimmed out in canvas to conceal the zipper but not on the bottom were water is allowed to run through the screening and down the outside of the tent wall. Stove Jack & Flap extra Stove Jacks are available and can be installed either on roofs, or tent walls. Tent Dividers are made like a front door with ties for interior location, and are best tied directly to a frame. Zip across bottom door (threshold) this option allows you to seal off the bottom of the door more efficiently than a standard door can. With a threshold door the sod cloth will be sewn on to the threshold and not to the door flaps were a floor can be laid and disturbed when operating the door. The down side to this option is that you will have to step over it.
Velcro on floor and sod cloth. Sewn in floors do not work so well on wall tents, especially when using the internal rafter frame. The closest thing to a sewn in floor is to Velcro it to the sod cloth. Zippered Corners allow you to open doors fully and roll up side walls. If you still want to maintain a secured floor, then screen walls can be sewn into the tent. This is totally custom but custom tents are a big part of my game.
Floors In most cases I like to use pack tarps for flooring in a tent. Use them like throw rugs and expose the ground wherever you want. But depending on your company you may want a fitted floor for your tent, Woven-Vinyl (Multi-Mesh) is a good way to go. This is a loosely woven material that water will pass through. It lays on top of the sod cloth keeping dust down and the bugs out. Other choices are 12 oz. Sunforger, this would promote a very clean interior were shoes would be left outside. There is also Skipper Duck which is a heavy treated canvas that lays flat without wrinkles. It has a smell to the finish and is OD green. If you wish to have a Velcro-in floor option, then the threshold door is recommended. This allows for a seal on all four sides of the tent with no disturbance when the door is used. Cut out for the stove is available, but I have found it not to be necessary.
